It is important to us to bring vision benefits to our customers that truly reflect our dedication to high quality products that are flexible enough to meet the needs of today’s diverse workforce. We currently provide law firms with several group vision plans which are available on an employer-paid or voluntary basis, and each can be designed to allow each attorney to balance features and value. Group Life

Life Insurance is a policy that will pay a specified sum to beneficiaries upon the death of the insured.
Term Life Insurance provides a death benefit but no cash build-up or investment component. The premium remains constant only for a specified term of years, and the policy is usually renewable at the end of each term. While almost any term is available, Lawyers Insurance Services has chosen to focus on 10, 15, 20 and 30 year terms.

While Whole Life Insurance is typically considered a rather conservative area of money management, there is still room both for risk-taking attorneys as well as fiscally-conservative ones. Whole Life Insurance offers the appealing and tangible benefit of guaranteed cash value. Whole Life Insurance will certainly appeal to those attorneys who like the safety and certainty of a sure thing. The low risk of Whole Life Insurance is reflected in its higher premiums.

Group Disability

While Life Insurance is probably the cornerstone of any insurance package, Disability Insurance is arguably just as important, especially Long-Term Disability Insurance. Attorneys can gain a greater degree of protection and security through Lawyers Insurance Services’ Disability Insurance offerings.
Realistically, no working-age attorney should be without disability coverage. In fact, at any given time, one has a greater chance of becoming disabled than of dying. Disability plans provide income replacement and benefits continuation if one is unable to work for an extended period of time.

Long-Term Care

Long-Term elder or dependent care can be a wrenching life event both financially and emotionally. As the elder population increases, more consumers than ever can benefit from Long-Term Care coverage.
Lawyers Insurance Services is proud to help you provide your employees with the emotional and financial peace of mind that comes from the finest Long-Term Care coverage.

Long-Term Care insurance policies help to pay for certain long-term care, both medical and non-medical. Long-Term Care coverage can help prevent medical care costs from depleting your employees’ hard earned savings. Additionally, Long-Term Care insurance allows for in-home care and that means your employees can maintain their dignity and independence.

Buy-Sell Agreement

A Buy-Sell Agreement is a contract among partners in a law firm. In the event of a loss of a partner, the firm’s interest is transferred according to the terms of this contract. The other partners are obligated to purchase the deceased’s partner’s interest and the deceased’s heirs are obligated to sell. This insures a smooth transition of ownership and protection of your firm’s financial future.

Key Man

Key Man Insurance is designed to protect a business against the loss of income resulting from the disability or death of an employee in a significant position.  Key Man Insurance is most often used in small–to medium–sized law firms where the death of a key attorney could severely affect the stability or profitability of the firm.  Many firms do not survive the death of a key attorney because the knowledge, skills, contacts, or business relationships of the key person are so hard to replace.  A Key Man Insurance policy will give your firm the buffer it needs to survive the death of a key man.

401 (K)

A 401(k) plan is an arrangement that allows an attorney to choose between taking compensation in cash or deferring a percentage of it to an account under the plan. The amount deferred is usually not taxable to the employee until it is withdrawn or distributed from the plan. However, if the plan permits, an attorney can make 401(k) contributions on an after-tax basis, and these amounts are tax-free when withdrawn. 401(k) plans are a type of retirement plan known as a qualified plan.
